Blackhawks Go Digital for Season-Ticket Holders

One of the most unique pieces of owning season tickets to a professional sports team is the thrill of getting a brick ticket in the mail, but for fans of the Chicago Blackhawks Jerseys, that feeling now is a thing of the past.
According to Danny Ecker of Crain’s Chicago Business, a letter was paid to the Blackhawks last week informing them that the team is moving to fully digital tickets for next season. Fans can either use their smart phones to show the tickets to enter the United Center for games or can print them on their home computers, but the team will no longer be using ticket stubs for subscribers.

“Consistent best interests of our fans in mind and after extensively reviewing new technologies ticketing available that collectively the decision to move to selling digital inputs,” Chris Werner, Blackhawks VP Ticketing and relationships customers, said in a statement.
According to Ecker, the Blackhawks are the third team Great Chicago to go completely digital with season tickets, joining the Chicago Bulls and White Sox. The Chicago Cubs and bears still use paper tickets for their subscribers.
Several professional sports teams have joined the bandwagon as well, with the Memphis Grizzlies, Denver Broncos and Houston Astros All digital inputs they use. Some teams like the White Sox still not allow fans to get tickets of paper, but with extra charge in purchasing season tickets.
