Blackhawks made a few moves list on Monday, when Alexandre Fortin was sent back to the Quebec Major / Junior Hockey League and Andrew Desjardins placed on injured reserve. In addition, the team sent the goalkeeper Ivan Nalimov back to the KHL.

Fortin wowed Blackhawks out of the camp. Even though coach Joel Quenneville entertained the idea of Fortin stick to the team, this was always the most likely option.

Desjardins was injured late in the Blackhawks’ 2-1 loss to the St. Louis Blues on Saturday night.

Many Blackhawks fans had a hard time to reconcile with the fact that Andrew Shaw does not play in Chicago.

Well, do not look now, but a younger version turned heads this preseason and may just infuse the team with the same grit, grime, fight and pointing ability at a much, much cheaper.

This player is none other than Tyler Motte, 5 feet 9, 192 pounds firecracker who scored 2 goals against the Blues on Saturday night in a 4-0 pre-season victory at the United Center.

Fortin a passé la campagne 2015-16 avec les Huskies de Rouyn-Noranda de la Ligue de hockey junior majeur du Québec, où il a terminé l’année avec 19 buts et 24 passes en 54 matchs. Le 19-ans a été avec les Blackhawks pour leur camp de prospect en Juillet et avait une impressionnante démonstration, ce qui lui atterrit maintenant un contrat de trois ans.
